Rada Cutlery
We are resellers of Rada Cutlery from Rada Manufacturing in Waverly Iowa.
We are a family-owned business, operating under the name of Homestead Treasures and we have been using and enjoying Rada Products for many years in our own kitchen. The high quality, the sharp blades, the ease of cutting anything and everything with these knives is what prompted us to become a Reseller of this fine product. What better product to sell than one we can stand behind and believe in ourselves?
Since 1948, Rada Cutlery has been crafting knives that stand the test of time. The hand-sharpened, razor-sharp edge of the surgical-quality, T420 high-carbon stainless steel blade ensures that durability reaches customers…for a lifetime of use!
Every Rada product is handcrafted in the heart of the USA, with materials only from America.
Homestead Treasures Wood Designs
My name is Vanita, and my passion for woodworking began many years ago. After I got married, I enrolled in a college course focused on woodwork. However, with numerous family obligations and the challenge of raising children, I couldn’t fully dedicate myself to my love for wood design.
Over the years, I experimented with it occasionally, acquiring a scroll saw and creating a few projects, but I never had the opportunity to engage in it on a full-time basis.
In 2020, when the Covid pandemic hit, there was a significant shortage of kitchen knife blocks, and Rada Cutlery found it challenging to source them, even though there was a strong demand.
That’s when I thought, “Why not create them myself?” With my background in woodworking, I was confident in my ability to craft them. I jumped right in and started making the blocks, and they sold out right away.
Encouraged by the success, I decided to design a larger and improved block using various types of wood, which would accommodate more knives and offer my customers greater options. They flew off the shelves!
A year later, my passion for woodworking truly blossomed when I visited my local supplier, Custom Country Woods, to pick up some lumber. I was captivated by the stunning variety of wood species they had. In that moment, I knew I wanted to create all sorts of products using this beautiful wood.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on my wood designs, so feel free to reach out!
